The DiGiovanni Future Teacher Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to children of CEA members and staff who plan to enter the teaching profession in Connecticut. Eligible applicants must be full-time college or university students who have completed at least three full semesters or four trimesters within the past two years. This fund supports students who are committed to becoming educators and contributing to Connecticut’s public education system.

The Racially and Ethnically Diverse Educator Scholarship Fund provides financial support to racially and ethnically diverse high school seniors and college students who intend to pursue careers in teaching in Connecticut. This fund helps strengthen diversity within the educator workforce and supports a more inclusive and representative public education system across the state.

Established in 1978 through the will of Ruth A. Shultz, a dedicated Connecticut educator, this scholarship supports students who are pursuing careers in education. The fund honors Ruth A. The Gloria Brown Aspiring Educator Scholarship is awarded to members of the CEA Aspiring Educators program who demonstrate exceptional leadership, a commitment to public education, and strong values of unionism. The recipient receives a one-time $2,000 scholarship to support educational expenses, professional clothing, or materials needed to begin a career in public education. This scholarship honors the legacy of Gloria Brown, whose career and retirement were dedicated to advancing public education and educator advocacy.
